Support
Hordva is coming soon to the App Store. These answers describe version 1.0.
I forgot my Hordva password
Open Hordva on any of your devices that still unlocks with Face ID or Touch ID. Go to Settings › Security › Change password and set a new one. You won’t need the old password on that device. Your other devices will ask for the new password the next time they unlock.
If none of your devices can unlock Hordva, the data cannot be recovered, by you or by us. No one else holds a key. The Recovery kit you can save during setup is there to help you remember.
Setting up a new device
- Sign in to the new iPhone, iPad or Mac with the same Apple ID and turn on iCloud.
- Install Hordva and open it. It finds your vault in iCloud.
- Enter your Hordva password, then turn on Face ID or Touch ID if you like.
- Your items sync down. Photos and videos follow if their sync is on.
Lost a device? Hordva on it stays locked behind Face ID and your password. Use Find My to erase it if you can.
Sync isn’t working
- Check that every device is signed in to the same Apple ID, with iCloud turned on.
- Look at the sync status in Settings › iCloud sync. It tells you if iCloud is full, signed out or paused.
- Make sure the category you expect is set to sync. Photos and videos are off by default, and items marked “This device only” never sync.
- Low Power Mode and poor connections can delay sync. Open Hordva on both devices, connected to Wi-Fi, and give it a minute.
- If you changed your password on another device, enter the new one here.
Plans, trial and restoring purchases
- The 7-day trial starts when you begin it during setup and runs once per Apple ID.
- Hordva Plus is US$4.99 a year or US$30 once for life (or the local price shown in the App Store), with Family Sharing.
- Bought Plus on another device or reinstalled? Tap Restore purchases in Settings or on the plans screen.
- To cancel the yearly plan, use your Apple ID’s subscriptions settings. Hordva then turns read-only: nothing is deleted.
- Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Apple Watch
- Hordva on Apple Watch needs a paired iPhone with Hordva, and watchOS 10 or later.
- A watch passcode and Wrist Detection must both be on. If either is off, the watch shows a short message and nothing syncs until it is fixed.
- The watch shows text only: your favourites and the items you add in iPhone Settings › Apple Watch. Photos, videos and files stay on your other devices.
- Numbers stay masked until you tap them.
Requirements
iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 17 or later, Mac with macOS 14 or later, Apple Watch with watchOS 10 or later. Ask appears only on devices that support Apple’s on-device model.
